Sapphire

Sapphire has four root words, Latin, Greek, Hebrew and Sanskrit "sanipriya" meaning "Dear to Saturn". Sapphire is said to protect against harm and envy. Blue Sapphires are the traditional birthstone for September but come in a great variety of colors including pink, blue, green, orange, yellow and white. In fact any corundum except Ruby is correctly named sapphire.
