Emerald

Emeralds are thought to derive their name from the Greek word "smaragdos" meaning "green stone". Emeralds are the most precious of the Beryl family of gems. Historically Emeralds are believed to represent faithfulness and unchanging love. They have also been thought to cause the ability to forecast the future. Emeralds are mined in Africa, Brazil and Columbia. Emerald is the May birthstone.

We sell only genuine Emeralds. Because of the nature of emerald a natural emerald will have inclusions and/or imperfections.
